STOP THE PAIN! REGAIN LOW BACK & LEG STRENGTH

September 19th, 2009 by admin

Low back pain doesn't happen overnight and once understood, can resolve quicker than you realize. We have to look at our lifestyle, nutrition, how we think & feel, etc. to undo the ailment. You could take a pain reliever but still the underlying imbalance will be there after the relief is gone. The key word for low back pain is DEFICIENCY.

Causative Setting: Holistically speaking, our lifestyle and ability to manage it appears to be overstressing most of us whereas our circulatory systems are tight and obstructing thus preventing nutrients to nourish us and elimination of toxins. Our dietary preferences in the U.S. are excessive while empty of nutrients, full of preservatives, pesticides, hormones and processed with additives. This generation endures more stress, changes and emotions keeping us up later and/or deep sleep is not achieved. The result is we lack the necessary energy or life force to be our best. This further makes us irritable in our relationships which worsens all the scenarios described before.

As we break down our energy, immunity and support, our self image and esteem parallels our internal organs ability to weather the challenge. Specifically, our adrenals and kidneys have become depleted of energy or weak, necessitating our attention to re-establishing our essence, life force and our quality of living.

Proactive Stress Relief with Massage Chair Therapy

June 18th, 2009 by Steve Esquire
by Stephanie E Esquire

Stress seems to be building or a more each day. This is perhaps a sign of the new times. It just seems everything is a little more stressful now. Sometimes, I find myself racing around concentrated on problems. I seem to be a little more anxious and perhaps have a shorter fuse. Sometimes this leads to headaches and muscle tension. There has to be a better way and areas. Get proactive about relieving your stress.

There are some behavioral sings of stress. Some behaviors are avoiding people in responsibilities. Focusing on negative thoughts is another potential sign area your mind may be racing and concentrating constantly on problems. This may lead to increased anxiety and possibly anger issues.

Signs of stress can also manifest in the body. Most often reported for signs of stress are muscle stiffness and tension. This tends to occur more often in the shoulders and neck areas. Some other issues that stress can cause are fatigue, digestion problems, headaches and weight gain or loss. As stress continues to build it extracts more damage to your body.

You may begin to recognize some of the signs of stress occurring to you. The first step we must take is to become aware that we are under stress. Otherwise, the stress continues to build and will take its toll on our physical bodies. If we become aware that we are under increasing stress, then we can begin to take countermeasures to relieve its damaging effects.

One common thing that differentiates stress from other issues is that it tends to accumulate in just one area. Some people may find that they get stress knots or backaches or stiffness in the shoulders and neck. The body is reacting to the stress put on it. The stress needs to be released from the body or it continues to increase.

To begin to recognize stress, we first have to become aware that it is building. Stress tends to build up in the body with a physical symptom. If a counter measure is taken early, then these symptoms can be relieved quickly. Otherwise, it will continue to build unchecked and cause more damage.

To proactively deal with stress you have to be able to recognize that it is beginning to accumulate. The accumulation gives it mass and force to do more damage. It is like a cancer, cut it out at the beginning. Early recognition of stress helps you to take effective countermeasures.

What are some of the things we can do to relieve stress? Like everything, it starts with the basics. You should make sure you maintain a nutritious diet. Exercise is always important to cope with stress. Recuperation and healing are the other aspects to successfully coping with stress. Massage chair therapy provides a manner to receive frequent massage treatments.

To reduce your muscle tension, a massage chair is an indispensable stress relief tool. Massage chairs come with a number of massage techniques which can target specific areas. If you have stress knots, for instance, you can focus an acupressure massage for deep and thorough penetration.

One of the key benefits of a massage chair is it provides you access to periodic massage therapy. When your symptoms of stress began to build, you can simply get relief when you need it most. They are very convenient and provide you with effective massage therapy.

It seems we have entered the age of stress. Let’s hope it’s a very short age. Meanwhile, we need to take proactive measures to counteract the damaging effects of stress build up. It is important to take action when we recognize it symptoms. A massage chair helps you to effectively relieve stiffness and tension as the stress is recognized.

Ending the Cycle of Chronic Pain

April 13th, 2009 by Virginia Pipolini
by Virginia Pipolini

In our modern world many people are plagued with chronic pain. For some it is a mere annoyance, that aching feeling. Many tune it out, only to realize when they release the pain of how much pain they had hidden away.

When we turn to the cause of our subtle or chronic aches and pains, we find many directions. Is it dietary, or chemical exposure? Is it overuse of the body through hard work? Is it abuse caused by substance addition, like drugs, alcohol or even sugar? There is no single answer, and no solitary solution.

One direction the subtle pain relief researchers have suggested is the connection between nutrition and chronic subtle pain. Often the holistic based recommendations for treating subtle, chronic pain combines many therapies, including acupuncture, yoga, detoxification, and nutrition.

One study conducted at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto Canada compared two treatment programs for chronic low back pain. The intent of the study was to show the affectiveness of naturopathic treatment such as dietary supplements including magnesium, breathing exercises, and acupuncture.(1)

In the study traditional physiotherapy was used for half the test group, and the naturopathic treatment program was prescribed for the other half. The results showed that there was a greater decrease of chronic back pain in those who were treated by the naturopathic methods.

Nutritionally speaking, magnesium is a vital mineral nutrient, a key element in over 300 enzyme reactions in the body. According to Science Daily half of Americans do not get enough magnesium. Magnesium deficiencies can cause pain and muscle cramps as well as many other health problems.(2)

There is no measure of how long it takes to create a condition such as chronic pain, and likewise there is no magic bullet that will lift us from its clutches. Perhaps if we focus on some of the more basic elements, such as diet and nutrition, we might see progress in our plea for pain release. Magnesium, for example, is easy to introduce into the body through pleasant applications such as magnesium oil or a warm, nutritional magnesium bath.
